I am in my early 50s, I live in Loughborough and I specialize in the repair of UPVC and Composite doors and UPVC windows.

The good news is that if you are having problems with your doors or windows, you rarely need new ones, as the frames can last for many, many years…so it is often just the individual components that need adjusting or replacing.

Glass Replacement

Is the glass in your window cloudy…is it hard to see through the window? If it is, then it has “blown”. I can replace the old glass for new glass at a much cheaper cost than replacing the whole window. I can also fix any issues you might be experiencing with rainwater coming through the frame into your home, which can damage woodwork and your carpets.

Replacement Handles and mechanisms

Are you having trouble opening, closing or locking your doors or windows? Are your handles starting to droop or feel weak? Have you locked yourself out or lost your keys?

I can resolve all those issues. I am a qualified Locksmith so I can get your doors and windows operating properly and securely again.

Adjustment/Replacement Door Hinges

Are you having trouble locking your doors? Maybe they have dropped? Can you feel a draft, or can you hear road noise when they are closed? Is your door frame moving when you open and close the door? Depending upon the type of hinges you have fitted, they can be adjusted…or worse case scenario, they can be replaced…and loose frames can be secured, so your door works as it did when it was new. 

Replacement Window Hinges

Are your windows letting out heat? Can you still hear the noise of the traffic when they are closed? When the window is closed, is there a gap on the hinge side? Don’t worry, these issues can be fixed. Unfortunately, window hinges can’t be adjusted, they have to be replaced, which involves removing the opening sash…but when it is done, the window will open and close like new. 

Replacement Door & Window Seals

Sometime drafts and road noise can be a result of worn or perished rubber or brush seals. I can replace these, and the difference will be noticeable.
